Artichokes and Lamb tagine
This lamp tagine recipe is served with fava beans, green peas and carrots, it is a very delicious recipe as it combines many vegetables, and here are the ingredients you are going to need:
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 kilo of lamb
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- Half a teaspoon of pepper
- One teaspoon of paprika
- One teaspoon of turmeric
- One teaspoon of ground ginger
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of saffron
- Some water
- 2 carrots, thinly sliced
- Five artichokes hearts
- 100 g of fresh beans (fava beans)
- 100 g of peas
- Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Now for the preparation:
start by adding the oils to the tagine, which should be on very low heat, then add the onions, carrots, tomatoes, and spices, sir until well combined, then add the garlic. - Add your lamb and just a little water in order not to dry your recipe, cover and let cook for at least thirty-five minutes while checking often in order to make sure that the recipe is not very dry.
- When the meat is nearly cooked, add your peas and beans and cover again, let cook for another 10 minutes on very low heat.
- When the beans and peas are nearly cooked, add the artichokes hearts and let cook for another ten minutes or until everything is well done.
