Beef and carrots tagine

The ingredients:
Ingredients
  • Half a kilo of beef cubes
  • 1 onion
  • Half lemon juice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • A quarter of a teaspoon saffron
  • Beef flavoring cubes, one, optional
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • One teaspoon of cumin
  • Half a teaspoon of ground ginger
  • Half a teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil, if you have extra virgin olive
  • oil, use it
  • 1 cup and a half of water
  • 4 carrots
Instructions
  1. The preparation:
    Cut the onion into small pieces and put in a cooking tagine
  2. Chop the garlic and parsley and add to the rest
  3. Put the saffron, cumin, beef flavoring, salt, pepper, ginger and mix with a wooden spoon
  4. Add the flavoring cubes and then mix everything
  5. Add half a glass of water, and add a little water during cooking if there is not enough
  6. Cook beef cubes and remove when cooked and tender by placing them in a sealed plastic container
  7. Peel the carrots, cut into 2 and then cut each piece into 2 as well
  8. Cook and add the lemon juice, make sure the carrots are well cooked
  9. Serve warm by placing the beef on a serving tagine, carrots on top and the sauce around.
