Chicken and preserved lemon tagine
This is one of the tastiest tagine recipes you will ever enjoy, it is quite easy to make and very fun as well.
Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients
  • 1 chicken, cut into pieces
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and cut into fours
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • Garlic powder
  • A cube of chicken stock
  • 2 sliced preserved lemons
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Ten green olives
  • 1 pinch of ginger
  • 1 pinch of turmeric
  • Salt and pepper
  • Finely chopped parsley
Instructions
  1. Preparing your chicken tagine:
  2. In a large cooking tagine, sweat the garlic and the onions in olive oil.
  3. Add the chicken pieces, sprinkle with ginger and cumin, salt, pepper.
  4. Cover the chicken with water, add the bouillon cube. Cook with the lid on for 35 minutes.
  5. Add the potatoes, finely chopped parsley, slices of preserved lemon and olives. Cover and simmer until the sauce is well reduced, the potatoes are soft and the chicken is done.
