French fries and beef tagine
This is by far my favorite tagine recipe, I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that I eat healthy all the time, when I’m in need of a delicious recipe to prepare quickly and one that I’m sure will please everyone, French fries and beef tagine is my go to dish.
Here are the required ingredients:
Ingredients
  • 4 potatoes
  • Half of kilo of beef cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 tomato, grated
  • One teaspoon of pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Canola or vegetable oil (for the French fries)
  • Two tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 2 chopped cloves of garlic
  • 125 ml water
  • A pinch of saffron
  • One teaspoon of ground cumin
Instructions
  1. Let’s have a look now at the preparation:
    In a tagine over low heat, put the onions, tomatoes, parsley, garlic, spices and oil
  2. Add the beef and mix very well so that it is soaked with the sauce
  3. Add a little water so that it doesn’t stick
  4. Cook in the tagine on very low heat until it is well cooked but still moist
  5. In a saucepan, heat your oil for the French fries
  6. Cut potatoes into strips and fry them when the oil is very hot, you can use frozen fries if you’d like to
  7. Serve the dish by putting the beef at the bottom, the sauce on top and then, place the French fries on top.
