Green beans and beef tagine
Although this may seem like a traditional Moroccan recipe, it is not, in Morocco, people in the past didn’t know about green beans, they consumed beans, but not when they were green, this culinary novelty was brought by the French.
And this is a fantastic tagine recipe; it is very flavorful and nutritious as well.
Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients
  • 1/2 kilo of beef cubes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • A quarter teaspoon saffron
  • Beef flavoring, optional
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Half teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
  • One cup and a half of water
  • 2 cups of frozen green beans
  • 1 large tomato
Instructions
  1. Now for the preparation:
    Cut the onion and tomato into small pieces and put them in a cooking tagine
  2. Chop the garlic and parsley and add to the rest
  3. Put the saffron, cumin, beef flavoring, salt, pepper, ginger and mix with a wooden spoon
  4. Add beef cubes and mix everything
  5. Add half a glass of water, and then add a little water during cooking if there is not enough
  6. Cook the beef cubes and remove them when cooked and tender, then put them in a sealed plastic container
  7. Add green beans and cook them until tender
  8. Serve warm by placing the beef on a serving tagine and the green beans on top and the sauce around.
