Meatballs with rice tagine
This is by far one of the most delicious tagine dishes you can prepare and everyone is going to enjoy it, especially if it is eaten the Moroccan way, using bread for dipping.

- Half a cup of cooked rice
- 250 grams of minced beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, grated
- A pinch of saffron
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 3 tablespoons of chopped cilantro
- A quarter of a teaspoon of salt
- Half a teaspoon pepper
- Half a teaspoon of ground cumin
- Two teaspoons of paprika
- Water
- 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
Instructions
- Now for the preparation:
Cook rice in water and then drain it. - In a tagine pot , heat the oil and add the onion, grated tomato, saffron and a little chopped parsley
- In a large bowl, place the minced meat and add spices (salt, pepper, cumin, paprika)
- Add parsley and cilantro to the meat
- Mix and add the rice and mix everything until well incorporated
- Form meatballs and place in the tagine
- Pour hot water to cover the meatballs and cook for thirty minutes
- When the meat is cooked, add the tomato paste and mix everything.
- Continue cooking (without the lid) to thicken the sauce, this is going to take about ten minutes
