Moroccan fish tagine
If you have never had this typical Moroccan fish tagine, you are in for big surprises; you are going to love it tastes and saltiness a lot.
Here are the ingredients you will need:
Ingredients
  • A nice fish of 3kg (wolf, pandora …)
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 1/2 kg of carrots
  • 1 kg of tomatoes
  • 3 green peppers, cut into rings
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Some olives
  • For chermoula marinade:
  • A bunch of cilantro
  • 4 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • Chili pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil soup
  • Juice of one lemon
Instructions
  1. Now, let’s prepare our Moroccan fish tagine:
  2. Prepare the marinade or chermoula: Mix all its ingredients. Wash and drain the fish; hack it if you want to keep the whole or cut into pieces. Marinate in the chermoula for at least 1 hour.
  3. Cut the potatoes into thin slices; carrots into strips. Place in a cooking tagine a layer of carrot strips first and slices of potatoes second. Place the marinated fish pieces on top. Cut the tomatoes into rounds, keep the juice. Arrange the fish with the sliced peppers, lemon and olives. Pour the remaining chermoula and tomato juice over all. Add a little oil. In a bowl mix: minced garlic cloves, salt, pepper, tomato paste, cumin, parsley , chopped cilantro, vinegar and olive oil.
  4. Finally
    Season with salt and pepper. Bake for at least 40 minutes in an oven on very low heat , sometimes, it can take even longer if the vegetables are juicy and the fish contains lots of moisture, while soaking the fish from time to time with a little of its sauce. Enjoy it.
