Oven Pork tagine
In Morocco, people do not consume pork at all, and in fact, if you are visiting this country, you can’t buy it because it is unavailable, unless you look for it in large supermarkets.
Nevertheless, this recipe is very famous with the French community here and if you like pork, I’m sure you are going to enjoy it.
Here are the ingredients you will need:
Ingredients
  • 2 pork chops
  • 2 potatoes
  • 6 dried apricots
  • 1 shallot
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
  1. Now, for the preparation:
  2. Preheat your oven to 180 °C. Mince the shallot. Peel the potatoes and cut in lengthwise into slices 1/2 inch thick. Pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a baking tagine.
  3. Place in the tagine in layers and in the following order: onions, pork chops, spices, apricots, salt and pepper. Add 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, potatoes. Add salt and pepper again. Add 1/2 tablespoon olive oil.
  4. Cover up.
  5. Bake 30 minutes.
  6. Put the oven on grill setting, uncover your dish and let the potatoes roast 5 minutes.
  7. Finally
    Serve as is.
