Pomegranates couscous salad
This is surely one of the most delicious couscous salad/dessert recipes you can make; it requires a nice amount of pomegranates seeds.

- Orange flower water to taste
- 300g couscous
- 20 cl of milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 5 tablespoons honey
- 25 to 50g butter
- 50 to 100 g slightly ground almonds
- 2 large pomegranates
Instructions
- Now, let’s prepare our pomegranates couscous:
- Mix the milk with a little orange flower water, if you like it, like I do, you can add more. In a deep and shallow dish, add 10 ml of milk and work the couscous grains with the palm of your hands, let rest for 10 minutes.
- Then, add the ground almonds and mix well.
- Add 3 liters of water in a couscousier and put the couscous in the couscoussier steamer. And cook uncovered until the steam passes through the semolina grains.
- Remove the couscoussier steamer and pour the slightly cooked couscous into a dish.
- Sprinkle with 8cl of milk.
- Mix the couscous grains by hand.
- Add the butter and spread roughly in the dish. Let it cool.
- Put the couscous in the couscoussier steamer and repeat the process, add more water if necessary.
- Then, remove the couscoussier steamer, pour the couscous into a dish and sprinkle with the remaining milk. Let it cool.
- Put the couscous grains in the couscoussier steamer and repeat the process.
- Put the couscous in a pan, and mix well by hand.
- Lastly, add the honey and mix well, after this, add the cinnamon and let it cool.
- Deseed your large pomegranates and gently mix the cool couscous with the seeds.
- Serve in a decorated serving tagine and garnish with the left pomegranates seeds on the sides.
