Simple couscous
This simple couscous recipe does not require a lot of efforts and a lot of attention from you, it is quite easy to make and I’m sure you are going to enjoy it.
Here are the ingredients you need:

  • 600g couscous
  • 210 g of butter
  • 4 zucchini
  • 4 carrots
  • 4 long turnips
  • 2 fresh artichokes hearts
  • 1 small can of peas
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small can of chickpeas
  • 12 lamb chops
  • 8 merguez
  • Saffron
  • 4 tablespoons raisins (swellen in warm water).
  • 4 tablespoons of almonds or pine nuts
  • Harissa
  • Spices for couscous (ras el anout)
  • Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sunflower oil
Instructions
  1. Now, let’s look at how to prepare this simple couscous recipe:
  2. Fry in a large casserole hot oil and lamb chops. Add the peeled and cut vegetables. Then brown. Put everything in the pot (the bottom) of the couscoussier, chickpeas, cumin, saffron, spices, pepper, salt.

Add a small ladle of warm salt water and 70 g of butter. Taste, add salt and mix again if necessary.
  7. Put the couscous a few minutes to cook, depending on when you are going to eat. Grill the sausages.
  8. At the last moment pour the couscous and stir by adding 70 g butter, raisins, pine nuts or almonds.

    Arrange the couscous on each plate in a dome shape. Dig a well in the center. Put vegetables and meat. Top with the sausages, add a little broth. Serve the extra broth in bowls.
