Tunisian fish tagine
If you are looking for a spicy and traditional fish tagine, then this amazing recipe is going to satisfy all your sea cravings.
Here are the ingredients you are going to need:
Ingredients
  • 4 beautiful steaks of dogfish
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 250 g of tomatoes
  • 400 grams of potatoes
  • 2 lemons in brine, preserved
  • 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon harissa
  • 50 g flour
  • 10 cl of olive oil
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Now for the preparation:
  2. Cut into 4 the preserved lemons.
  3. Desalinate them in hot water for 5 minutes.
  4. Salt the steaks and flour them.
  5. Peel and cut the potatoes into strips.
  6. Cook them in salted water. Drain and set aside.
  7. Remove seeds and chop fresh tomatoes.
  8. Fry them in 10 cl of olive oil with the tomato paste, crushed garlic, harissa, pepper.
  9. Cover with water and let stew for about 20 minutes, add desalted lemon wedges.
  10. Cook for 10 minutes.
  11. In a skillet, fry the potatoes with frying oil.
  12. Then, fry the steaks in flour in the frying oil.
  13. Put them in the sauce and cook for 10 minutes.
  14. Pour mixture into a baking fish.
  15. And add the fries on top.
