White beans and beef tagine
This beans tagine recipe is a bit time-consuming, but you are going to enjoy the results a lot.
Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients
  • 250 g of dried white beans soaked overnight
  • 300 grams of diced beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes cut into small pieces
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • Half a teaspoon of ground cumin
  • A pinch of paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Two tablespoons of vegetable oil, preferably extra-virgin olive oil
  • One tablespoon of tomato paste
  • Water
  • 1 carrot, diced (optional)
Instructions
  1. Now for the preparation:
    In a saucepan or a good quality cooking tagine, fry the meat in oil to brown it
  2. Add the onion, spices (cumin, salt, pepper, paprika) and a little water so that the meat does not stick. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes
  3. Add remaining ingredients (beans, tomato paste, tomato, garlic, carrot) and enough water to cover everything
  4. Cook for 25 minutes in a pressure cooker or if you are using a tagine,
  5. Cook as long as possible, your beans tagine dish is ready when they are tender and the sauce is thick.
  6. Serve in a warm serving tagine.
